Jugaad of Life on Earth - (Day 7)

 I guess I am lucky. You are lucky too. Everyone who is on this planet, called Earth, is lucky. 

There are billions, maybe trillions of stars out there in the universe. The life of the universe is probably in the same magnitude- billions and trillions of years. Our Earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Interestingly, we human beings are on this planet for only the last 200000 years. So if you put the life of the planet Earth in one day- 24 hours, we humans have been on this planet only for the last 4 seconds!! Rest 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 56 seconds- the Earth had no human life! Out of those 200000 years, the history of our existence in form of civilizations is no older than 5 or 10,000 years! This means, we think we own the planet, but we are actually here only .2 seconds! One-fifth of a second! This makes me feel very special, and lucky, to be at the right place at the right time!

Now consider billions of other stars and planets in the universe. Is there life on some other planet?  Of course, there should be! It would be insane to think that out of the billions and trillions of dots we see in the sky, there is only one dot, called the Planet Earth, that has life! However, considering the age of around 14 billion years, how likely is it that the presence of we human beings in our current form also exists on some other planet? I think it is highly unlikely. Maybe, some planets had humans but it could be millions or billions of years prior to us, or maybe some planets would have life and finally human form, maybe millions of years in the future!  Some planet may be seeing the first sign of life right at this time, and it is possible, some planet had humans like us, but that could be millions of years ago! So to be human in the human form, you and I have won against unbelievable odds! Considering a trillion planets, the odds to be on one specific planet called the Earth are like 1 in 1,000,000,000,000! These odds are 10000 times worse than winning a SuperLotto! Congratulations, we have done this! We are on the only planet that can support us!!! Aren't we lucky?
